Publication Process
1. Manuscript Submission
- Authors submit articles through the Open Journal System (OJS) of Dedikasi Sosial: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat (Social Dedication: Journal of Community Service).
- Manuscripts must conform to the Journal's template and adhere to author guidelines.
- The editor reviews manuscripts for initial formatting to ensure completeness of administrative and technical requirements.
2. Initial Screening
- The editor checks for originality using Turnitin (maximum 25% similarity).
- Manuscripts that do not meet the Journal's scope will be rejected outright (desk rejection).
3. Peer Reviewer Assignment
- Manuscripts that pass the initial review are sent to at least two peer reviewers for double-blind review.
- The reviewers are from outside the author's affiliation and have expertise relevant to the article's field.
4. Peer Review Process
- Reviewers assess aspects of novelty, relevance, methodology, data validity, and theoretical and practical contributions.
- Assessments are given in the following forms:
- Accepted without revision
- Minor revision
- Major revision
- Rejected
5. Editorial Decision
- Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the editor decides whether to accept, request revisions, or reject the submission.
- If revisions are made, the author is given a specific time (usually 2–3 weeks) to complete them.
6. Final Checking and Layout
- After the revisions are received, the editor checks that they align with the reviewers' input.
- Successful manuscripts are checked for grammar (language editing), layout (template conformity), and bibliography.
- The article is then prepared for final layout.
7. Proofreading and Final Approval
- The author will receive a proof (final layout copy) for review.
- The author must provide final approval before the article is published.
8. Online Publication
- Articles are published online on the Dedikasi Sosial: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat (OJS) website.
