Author Guidelines

The Journal of Innovation and Inclusive Economics (JIIE) accepts original scholarly manuscripts that have not been previously published and are not under consideration by any other journal or publication outlet. Submission of a manuscript implies that all authors have approved the submission and agree with its content.
Scope and Content
Manuscripts must align with the journal’s focus on innovation and inclusive economic change within business, economics, development studies, and accounting. Submissions should present a clear research problem, appropriate theoretical positioning, and a transparent methodological approach.
Language
All manuscripts must be written in English and should be clear and readable. Authors whose first language is not English are encouraged to seek language editing prior to submission.
Manuscript Format
Manuscripts must be prepared using the journal’s official template and submitted in Microsoft Word format. Articles should be between 5,000 and 7,000 words in length, inclusive references. The text should use Cambria font, size 12, with 1.15 line spacing, on A4 paper size, and with top, bottom, left, and right margins as specified in the journal template. Submissions that do not follow these basic formatting requirements may be returned to authors prior to review.
Manuscripts should be organised using the following headings, as appropriate to the research design and methodological approach:
- Title
- Abstract
- Keywords
- Introduction
- Literature Review and Theoretical Framework
- May includehypothesis development or research questions, where relevant
- Methodology / Research Design
- Including data sources, methods, and analytical strategy
- Findings / Results
- Discussion
- Conclusion
- References
- References must followAPA 7th edition style and include only sources cited in the text.
Authors of conceptual papers, systematic literature reviews, and bibliometric studies may adapt and adjust this structure as necessary, provided that the argument remains coherent and methodologically transparent.
Use of Generative Artificial Intelligence
Authors are fully responsible for the content of their manuscripts. Generative AI tools may not be used to fabricate data, generate references, or create citations to non-existent sources. Manuscripts containing fabricated or unverifiable references, including those produced through AI systems, will be rejected.
Submission and Review
All manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s Open Journal System (OJS) portal. JIIE applies blind peer-review process. Authors must remove all identifying information from the manuscript to support anonymous review.
