Publication Ethics
Publication Ethics
The Journal of Innovation and Inclusive Economics (JIIE) is committed to ensuring integrity, rigor, and accountability in scholarly publishing. Ethical conduct is expected from all parties involved in the publication process, including authors, reviewers, editors, and the Editor in Chief. The journal follows established standards of academic publishing ethics and treats misconduct seriously.
Responsibilities of the Editor in Chief
The Editor in Chief has overall responsibility for the journal’s academic quality and ethical standards. This includes overseeing editorial decisions, safeguarding the independence of the review process, and ensuring that submissions are evaluated solely on scholarly merit and contribution. The Editor in Chief is responsible for addressing ethical concerns, allegations of misconduct, and disputes in a timely and transparent manner.
Responsibilities of Editors
Editors are responsible for managing the peer review process in a fair, objective, and professional manner. Editorial decisions must be based on the quality, originality, and relevance of the manuscript, without discrimination or undue influence. Editors must maintain confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and must not use unpublished material for personal or professional advantage. Manuscripts that involve plagiarism, fabricated data, manipulated citations, or other ethical breaches must be rejected.
Editors should recuse themselves from handling submissions where conflicts of interest exist, including submissions authored or co authored by themselves.
Responsibilities of Reviewers
Reviewers play a central role in maintaining scholarly standards. Reviews should be conducted objectively, constructively, and within a reasonable timeframe. Reviewers must treat all manuscripts as confidential documents and must not share, store, or distribute submitted material. Any conflicts of interest, whether personal, institutional, or intellectual, must be disclosed to the editor prior to review. Reviewers are expected to identify potential ethical concerns, including plagiarism, excessive self citation, or questionable use of sources.
Responsibilities of Authors
Authors are responsible for ensuring that submitted manuscripts are original, accurate, and not under consideration elsewhere. All sources must be properly cited, and all listed authors must have made a meaningful scholarly contribution to the work. Authors must present data and analysis honestly and transparently.
The use of generative artificial intelligence tools is subject to strict limitations. AI tools may not be used to fabricate data, generate references, or construct citations that do not correspond to verifiable sources. Manuscripts found to contain fabricated or hallucinated references, including references generated by AI systems that cannot be independently verified, will be rejected without review. Authors bear full responsibility for the accuracy and authenticity of all content, including text generated or assisted by AI tools.
If authors discover significant errors in their published work, they are required to notify the editorial office promptly so that appropriate corrections or retractions can be made.
