Focus And Scope

The Journal of Innovation and Inclusive Economics (JIIE) publishes original research on innovation, economic transformation, and inclusive economic development. The journal welcomes contributions from business, economics, development studies, and accounting that examine how economic systems evolve, how organisations and markets adapt, and how governance and accountability structures shape economic outcomes.

JIIE considers innovation an important driver of economic change and welcomes research on organisational reform, institutional development, financial systems, regulatory frameworks, and accounting and governance practices that influence inclusive and sustainable economic progress. The journal approaches business strategy, economic structures, and accounting systems as interrelated components of economic transformation across both private and public sectors. Research may focus on firms, entrepreneurial ecosystems, public sector entities, financial institutions, non profit organisations, or broader economic environments across developed and developing contexts.

The journal accepts quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods research, as well as conceptual papers, systematic literature reviews, and bibliometric studies, provided they demonstrate clear theoretical grounding and methodological transparency.

Areas of interest include:
